Glynn Huaraka works for the NHS as an independent project lead. His recent projects have included a large-scale fire remediation scheme in a live hospital environment, heating decarbonisation work, assisting in the Trust’s £56 million litigation defence and the long-term development strategy of the hospital on a constrained site in North London.  

He is currently working on one of five new hospitals as part of the Government’s New Hospital Programme, due for completion in 2030.  

Glynn holds a BSc in Architecture and a Diploma in Architecture from the Bartlett School. He also has an MSc in Architecture and Computing from the University of East London. Since completing his studies in architecture Glynn has worked in architecture, design, the automotive and the banking sectors. His work has taken him around the world, particularly Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. He has run his own consultancy continuously since leaving architecture school.  

Glynn was appointed as a magistrate to the Barkingside and Romford bench in May 2022 and is in his second, three-year term as a Deputy Warden at St Bartholomew the Great in Smithfield, London.  

Glynn helped Apt establish the Apt Apprenticeship Programme in 2021 and has been an Apprentice Mentor for the last three years. Glynn was appointed as a Trustee at Apt in December 2023.
