      Our approach
We work as a collective in a transparent and logical way. We do not have a house style and believe that every project should be looked at afresh.

We create desirable places to live and work that are richly detailed and diverse in character, celebrating the culture, customs and heritage of their setting, reinforcing a sense of identity and place.
Through our engaging design process of sketching, model making, drawing and discussion, we deliver great buildings that people talk about and enjoy.

          Apprenticeship at Apt
The desire to open up a more inclusive route into architecture is a part of ‘the core DNA of our business’.

During 2021, in collaboration with London South Bank University, we launched our first fully funded, level 6 architectural apprenticeship scheme to enable our new apprentices to achieve RIBA Part 1 while also working in practice. This approach provides paid, fully funded work experience and academic training, alongside benefitting from the expertise and mentoring that Apt can provide.
The apprenticeship programme reinforces our commitment to developing our workplace culture, talent pipeline and supporting inclusion in the industry. By removing the prohibitive costs associated with architectural training, we are creating a much more open and inclusive route into the industry.
