        We work as a collective in a transparent and logical way. We do not have a house style and believe that every project should be looked at afresh.

        We create desirable places to live and work that are richly detailed and diverse in character, celebrating the culture, customs and heritage of their setting, reinforcing a sense of identity and place.
        Through our engaging design process of sketching, model making, drawing and discussion, we deliver great buildings that people talk about and enjoy.

                Office Manager


                Apt is seeking an Office Manager to join its growing team in Clerkenwell, London.  

                The role:  

                We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and talented Office Manager who is passionate about working in a dynamic environment. We are looking for organised, detail-orientated, exceptional candidates to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The successful candidate must have expert knowledge of office management and human resources.  

                Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:  

                • Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
                • Proven previous experience in office management and human resources Manage the studio’s studio tasks, balancing the management team’s aspirations and expectations within the scope of agreed budgets
                • Manage studio and people related strategies
                • Make an active contribution to the wider studio
                • Work well under pressure, adopt a positive attitude
                • Co-ordinate discussions and meetings with consultants, suppliers, contractors, the landlord and the studio management team on studio and people related matters
                • Liaise with the management team on both strategic and day-to-day matters 
                • Develop and co-ordinate studio strategies that supports the studio’s services, projects, and brand identity and that meets the studio’s goals
                • Co-ordinate and manage the support of the CPD programme
                • Co-ordinate and manage human resources related matters including management and updates to policies, onboarding and induction of employees, studio absences, annual leave, grievance procedures, visas and immigration, staff contracts and exit interviews in accordance with agreed direction
                • Develop and manage the studio handbook and all procedural and policy related documentation
                • Together with the finance department, co-ordinate and manage payroll related matters, including staff benefit administration 
                • Analyse the studio’s performance and produce reports reflecting forecasts, trends, and actual outcomes on office and people related matters including working practices and staff benefits 
                • Have an overview of diaries and travel itineraries for related activities, including arrangement of management meetings, quarterly Board meetings, recruitment activities and studio events  
                • Regularly monitor training and development programmes, making links between the studio’s portfolio, experiences, services and identify opportunities for staff development
                • Co-ordinate and manage the support of all recruitment activities
                • Collaborate with external IT consultants, oversee, and manage the delivery of the IT strategy in accordance with agreed management team direction
                • Co-ordinate and manage insurances, quality management, health and safety, legal requirements, environmental policies, and duty of care
                • Effective verbal and written communication skills

                BIM Coordinator

                Apt is looking for a BIM coordinator to join its team in London.

                The role

                We seek to appoint a highly motivated and talented BIM coordinator who is passionate about working in a dynamic environment.

                We are looking for organised, detail-orientated, exceptional candidates to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The successful candidate must have expert knowledge of BIM technology, software and processes, including Revit, with a proven track record in BIM project delivery.

                Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:

                • RIBA Part 1 degree 2:1 or above/ARB RIBA Part 1 equivalent
                • Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) Architectural Technology Degree 2:1 or above
                • understanding of the architectural process and technical requirements
                • proven previous experience in a CAD and BIM coordination role
                • experience in delivering training in BIM software and processes
                • manage your BIM projects, their resources, budgets, and programmes, ensuring that your project plans are carefully considered, updated in a timely manner and prepared in advance of platform management meetings
                • experience in delivering the integration of COBie, Uniclass and Specification Metadata within the model data
                • delegate responsibilities appropriate to the team’s level effectively
                • actively promote knowledge sharing and apply best practices/lessons learned based on prior experience
                • ensure BIM activities meet statutory, project and studio standards for quality management, health and safety legal requirements, environmental policies and general duty of care
                • develop standards, libraries and workflows to meet project requirements and improve efficiency
                • perform the BIM coordinator role on multiple projects, liaising with the client BIM rep and external project team members
                • organise, configure and maintain BIM projects, managing project production and content creation
                • respond to BIM queries from internal and external project team members
                • perform coordination, federation, audit and clash-detection processes and reporting on projects
                • report on project model progress, coordination, quality and content
                • prepare BIM files for issues, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements
                • be confident in presenting emerging ideas
                • be capable of developing project programmes
                • be fluent in Adobe Creative Suite
                • have excellent verbal and sketch communication skills
                • have ambitions to develop their career, and contribute to the success and growth of the studio.
