Gregor originally moved from his hometown in rural Perthshire to Glasgow to study Architectural Technology, but quickly realised that design was more up his street and started an MA(Hons) Architecture at The University of Edinburgh.
Between previous studies and working on-site with his uncle’s joinery firm, Gregor has experienced several aspects of the process of bringing a design to fruition and focussed these combined experiences for his final degree project - addressing community accessibility for building in regions where heavy machinery and complex construction solutions are impossible.
During his studies, Gregor spent a 6 month placement working for a large architecture firm in Hamburg, joining a dedicated competitions team designing projects in Germany and China. Following graduation, Gregor wanted experience in an innovative, sociable and forward-thinking UK-based studio, so when a position was advertised with Apt in 2019 he jumped at the opportunity.
Beyond the office, Gregor enjoys camping and hillwalking (Preferably with a dog (or many)-There really is nothing quite like driving as far into the Highlands as you can get, wild camping along the way!
