Interested in design and making from an early age, Paul moved to London for his undergraduate studies at the Bartlett School of Architecture before completing his masters degree at Cardiff University.
Paul originally joined Apt in 2010 having worked on a number of residential, education & cultural projects at smaller practices in Edinburgh and Cambridge. After a year away exploring alternative careers in content design & advertising, he re-joined Apt in 2013 to complete his qualifications and has since gained experience on a variety of projects across the practice’s portfolio.
Paul’s interests lie in social and sustainable architecture, and in the interaction between people and the built environment. His rigour and attention to detail mean that he particularly enjoys developing creative and contextual responses to constrained sites and complex briefs.
Away from the studio Paul likes to take advantage of London’s many museums and art galleries, as well as spending time outdoors whether cycling, climbing or camping.
