This is Mark Williams-Jones
What could be more beautiful than a simple solution to a complex problem.”
Mark is skilled at understanding complex, mixed-use briefs, which look to not only create inspiring places to live, work and socialise, but also ensuring these uses engage with a wider public realm, creating animation and vibrancy around the base of a building.
At Apt, Mark is a project leader, and a member of the operations board. He contributes to the strategic marketing, business development and future direction of the studio. He has been responsible for some of the practices most complex schemes, including the development of several of the phases of the Merchant Square masterplan, a long-term project with a mix of uses being delivered across 4 iconic buildings in the heart of Paddington.
His broad experience includes overseeing projects across several different sectors, typologies, and scales. These include The Earnshaw a 260,000 sq.ft. office-led mixed-use scheme in central London, which is currently on site and set to deliver an exemplar office building. He is currently leading the design team on the development of the masterplan proposals for The London Resort, a world-class entertainment resort founded on sustainable and low carbon principles, as well as the redevelopment of Integra House in Wimbledon from commercial use to 15 new residential apartments.
